Education

Building Understanding and Awareness

At the Minnesota Hoarding Task Force, we believe that education is the foundation for fostering understanding, compassion, and action. Our educational resources are designed to inform individuals, families, and communities about hoarding disorder, its challenges, and the steps needed to address it.

Through workshops, community presentations, and a library of resources, we empower people to recognize the signs of hoarding, understand its impact, and connect with the support systems available. Whether you're seeking guidance for a loved one, training as a professional, or learning to better support your community, our mission is to provide accessible, practical knowledge that drives meaningful change.

Community Presentations

We offer presentations to community groups, agencies, and organizations throughout Minnesota to raise awareness about hoarding disorder.

Professional Training

Training opportunities for first responders, social workers, property managers, and other professionals who encounter hoarding situations.

Public Workshops

Educational workshops open to the public covering hoarding disorder, how to help a loved one, and available resources.

Resource Library

A growing library of articles, videos, assessment tools, and guides for individuals, families, and professionals.

Community Engagement

Past Events

The MN Hoarding Task Force has led or participated in a variety of events over the last several years. We have many volunteers who have generously donated their time and skills to community events including safety days, educational forums for community members and professional groups.

We have collaborated with groups like NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), The Elder Justice Center, first responders, Cities and Counties and more. We have also enjoyed a fundraising-shredding event in our partnership with Shred Right for Good, Summit Investment Advisors, Professional Rehabilitation Consultants and Junk Masters.

We look forward to many more ways to connect with and serve this community and welcome your ideas and partnership in the coming months and years.
